Market Common Clarendon will be showing free movies on the first Thursday of August and September as part of its Now Playing on The Loop series, which began earlier this month with a showing of “The Karate Kid.” The films will be shown on a 16-foot screen in the courtyard of the shopping center on Clarendon Boulevard. “The Princess Bride” will be shown on Thursday, Aug. 7, and “Top Gun” will be shown on Thursday, Sept. 4. Thursday, Aug. 14, and Thursday, Sept. 11, are rain dates for the showings, respectively.
Admission is free and attendees can bring their own chairs or picnic blankets to spread out, watch the film and enjoy free popcorn, snacks and water, courtesy of Market Common Clarendon. Market Common Clarendon is located at 2700 Clarendon Blvd., Arlington.
