Fairfax Co. to Offer Tips on Chronic Disease Management

Fairfax County is offering a free chronic disease self-management program on Mondays in August and September at the Dar Al-Hijrah Civic Center in Falls Church.

The program will take place on Mondays from Aug. 4 – Sept. 15, with meetings from 6 – 8:30 p.m. at the Fairfax County Health Department at Dar Al-Hijrah Civic Center, 3159 Row St., Falls Church.

Topics discussed will include managing pain and emotions, using medication properly, communicating with health care providers, adopting exercise and nutrition goals, and making informed medical decisions.
