From the moment you wake up this Sunday, it’s all about the Moms. There are innumerable ways to celebrate Mother’s Day and if you’re going conventional, there’s no shortage of brunches around Falls Church that will surely do her right. But how about taking it up a notch?

Entertainment Cruises moves Mother’s Day off shore on Sunday with an assortment of cruises up and down the Potomac. Both the Odyssey Washington and Spirit of Washington are offering family-friendly excursions including brunch, lunch and dinner cruises. The glass-enclosed Odyssey features an early (10 a.m., $79.90 adult/47.95 kids 3-12) and afternoon (2 p.m., $84.90/50.95) brunch buffet and a dinner cruise at 7 p.m. ($99.90). On the Spirit, there’s an early lunch cruise at 10:30 a.m. ($59.90/32.95), afternoon lunch at 3 p.m. ($64.90/32.95) and dinner at 7:30 ($79.90).

Brunches and lunches are two hours long while dinners run for two and a half.
