Nat’l Security Students Visit News-Press for Talk & Tour

407nn1Students from the Dwight D. Eisenhower School for National Security and Resource Strategy visited the offices of the Falls Church News-Press last Thursday to learn about how a community newspaper operates. The students, who included senior members of the United States Armed Forces and government employees, are part of a master’s degree program in national security resourcing. In their program, they’ve learned about the news media industry as part of 20 industries studied as they relate to government policy and national security. The students toured the offices of the News-Press, heard from members of its staff, and asked questions about the news media industry. The students are pictured above with News-Press owner-editor Nicholas F. Benton (at far right).
