Shields: Outside Consultant To Review Final Water Bills

Falls Church City Manager Wyatt Shields told the City Council tonight that a procurement process has been set in motion to retain an outside consultant to review and audit the final set of water bills sent out by the City in December 2013, due to multiple customer complaints of irregularities.

The bills were the final ones sent out by the City prior to the City’s sale of the water system to Fairfax County. Shields said tonight that the City’s staff has still not identified any significant irregularities in the billing.
