An IT specialist at a Falls Church area elementary school has been arrested and charged with sex offenses against children.
An ongoing investigation resulted in the arrest on Tuesday of Patrick Wietz, 24, of Springfield. WJLA reports that Wietz worked at Falls Church’s Glen Forest Elementary School.
Wietz was charged with attempting to take indecent liberties with children under 15 years old and with the use of communications systems to facilitate certain offenses involving children, according to a Fairfax County Police Department release. Wietz has been employed as an IT specialist by the Fairfax County Public School system full-time for about two years.
