F.C. Schools Offer Lunch Menu ‘App’

The Falls Church City Schools announced Tuesday the availability of free iPhone and Android “apps” full of details about menus and the nutrition benefits of menu items. In a statement it was noted that the F.C. Schools’ nutrition program is one of the first in the nation to provide their school lunch menus via a mobile app. The smartphone app shows each day’s menu, including pictures and descriptions. Each food item comes with its own nutritional information panel.

The free app, called School Lunch by Nutrislice, is available for iPhones and Android phones.

The menus will continue to be available from the FCCPS website: www.fccps.org/lunch.
