McLean & Oakton Athletes to Compete in Special Olympics FanQuest

Robinson Secondary School will host Special Olympics FanQuest this Saturday, Jan. 18, at 7 p.m.

Special Olympics basketball teams from Oakton High School and McLean High School will take the court for a rival basketball game that is open to the public. The game will be followed by a victory dance and Olympic town festival, open to all who attend and participate.

Volunteers are invited to sign up at volunteer2cheer.com to cheer on the athletes. Check-in will be at the “Volunteer to Cheer” table at the gym entrance. Volunteers will be given materials to make posters and signs, and all who come out to cheer also will get free “cheer sticks.”

Numerous local sponsors provide funding to allow free admission to the public.

Robinson Secondary School is located at 5035 Sideburn Road, Fairfax.
