City of F.C. Offices & Services to Close for Winter Holidays

Several City of Falls Church offices and services will close or operate on adjusted schedules for the coming winter holidays.

On Tuesday, Dec. 24, Courts, the Court Clerk’s Office, and the Sheriff’s Office will be closed. All other City government offices and services, including City Hall, the DMV Select Office, Mary Riley Styles Public Library, and the Permits Counter will close at noon. The Community Center will be open on a revised schedule, from 8:30 a.m. – 5 p.m.

On Wednesday, Dec. 25, all City government offices and services, including City Hall, the Community Center, Courts and the Court Clerk’s Office, the DMV Select Office in City Hall, Mary Riley Styles Public Library, the Permits Counter, the Senior Center, and the Sheriff’s Office will be closed.

On Thursday, Dec. 26, all City government offices and services will be open except for the Court Clerk’s Office and the Sheriff’s Office.

On Tuesday, Dec. 31, Courts, the Court Clerk’s Office, and the Sheriff’s Office will be closed. Mary Riley Styles Public Library will close at noon. Most City government offices and services will be open, including City Hall and DMV Select Office in City Hall. The Community Center will be open on a revised schedule, from 8:30 a.m. – 5 p.m.

On Wednesday, Jan. 1, all City government offices and services will be closed, including City Hall, the Community Center, Courts and the Court Clerk’s Office, the DMV Select Office in City Hall, Mary Riley Styles Public Library, the Permits Counter, the Senior Center, and the Sheriff’s Office.

Due to the holidays, waste collection for Wednesdays, Dec. 25 and Jan. 1, will be rescheduled for the following Saturdays, Dec. 28 and Jan. 4. For these collections, carts should be rolled out to the curb on Fridays after 5 p.m. or prior to 7 a.m. on Saturdays; carts should be returned after collection Saturday evening. Routes and collection times will vary on these dates. Regular collections will resume Wednesday, Jan. 8. For more information, visit fallschurchva.gov.
