George Mason High’s Award Winning Band Performs Diverse Winter Concert

Ranging from percussion to jazz and win ensembles and symphonic combinations, the George Mason High School Performing Arts Department under the direction of Mary Jo West entertained a full house at the GMHS auditorium Thursday night.

A highlight was four selections from the Nutcracker Suite by the select wind ensemble that featured the ballet dancing of Kaitlin Kay, s holiday pop singalong led by Alex Smith, highlights from Les Miserables the musical, and audio selections from original compositions by Max Aifer, Nik Hokaj and Nathan Ward.
