F.C. Police Offering Free Rape Aggression Defense Course

The City of Falls Church Police Department is offering a free Rape Aggression Defense program to teach women realistic self-defense tactics and techniques.

The course, or RAD, is taught by nationally certified instructors from the City’s police department and is a comprehensive, women-only course that addresses awareness, prevention, risk reduction, risk avoidance, and the basics of hands-on self-defense training. RAD is not a martial arts program. The course is available for women ages 12 and up on December 3, 5, 10 and 12 from 6 – 9 p.m. at St. James School at 905 Park Ave. in Falls Church. All four courses are required. There are a limited number of spaces available.
