Mason & MEH Clubs Open Hockey Seasons

The George Mason High School and Mary Ellen Henderson Middle School hockey clubs have announced their 2013-14 schedules.

The MEH squad opened its season last Friday, Oct. 25, with a 9-7 win over the Arlington Admirals at Kettler Capitals Iceplex.

The GMHS team plays its first game this Friday, Nov. 1, against Washington-Lee High School at Kettler.

Both teams play in the Northern Virginia Scholastic Hockey League. The GMHS team is entering its fourth season of play, while MEH is entering its third season.

The Mason team plays Tuscarora on Nov. 15 at Kettler, Woodson on Nov. 20 at Mt. Vernon Ice Arena, Briar Woods on Nov. 22 at Kettler, Flint Hill on Dec. 13 at Skatequest Reston, Paul VI on Dec. 20 at Kettler, Broad Run on Jan. 3 at Ashburn Icehouse, Dominion on Jan. 5 at Ashburn Icehouse, O’Connell on Jan. 10 at Kettler, Yorktown on Jan. 17 at Kettler, and Lake Braddock on Feb. 7 at Prince William Ice Center.

The MEH team plays Robinson this Friday at Skatequest Reston, Woodbridge on Nov. 8 at Kettler, Eastern Loudoun on Nov. 15 at Kettler, Briar Woods on Nov. 16 at Ashburn Ice House, Lake Braddock on Nov. 27 at Ashburn Ice House, the Arlington Admirals on Dec. 6 at Kettler, Faquier County on Dec. 13 at Haymarket Iceplex, Western Loudoun on Dec. 20 at Kettler, Woodbridge on Jan. 10 at Prince William Ice Center, Central Loudoun on Jan. 17 at Skatequest Reston, Broad Run on Jan. 31 at Kettler, and Robinson on Feb. 7 at Prince William Ice Center.
