Marshall Academy Team Takes 2nd in Maryland Cyber Challenge

Marshall Academy’s Cyber team placed second overall at the Maryland Cyber Challenge and Competition high school finals that took place recently at the CyberMaryland 2013 Conference in Baltimore.

Team members Charlie Franks, Jonah Lazer, Joshua Shepard, Paul Benoit, C.J. Gardner, and Ramon Martinez-Diaz won the second place prize of $12,000, sponsored by the National Security Agency.

Three of Marshall Academy’s four student teams from the Cyber Security Club advanced to the finals, and were the only Virginia teams in the competition.
