MEH Parent Seeks Participants for WorldStrides Trip

Casey Carter, parent of a daughter at Mary Ellen Henderson Middle School, is looking to schedule a WorldStrides trip like the ones MEH had scheduled in years past.

Up until two years ago, roughly 30 students from MEH traveled with WorldStrides each summer on a Florida Science Action and Adventure Program called Splash into Science, located in the Florida Keys.

The trip this year is scheduled for June 20 – 24, and once again with WorldStrides, students are invited to visit Turtle Hospitals, Everglades National Park, Shark Valley, and Curry Hammock State Park. Students will kayak, snorkel, encounter dolphins, and learn and identify fish from Coral Reefs. All travel, sites, tours, lodging, and meals are all built into the program.

The trip is going to be offered to current Mary Ellen Henderson seventh and eighth graders, but this is not a trip run through Mary Ellen Henderson Middle School; those who would like details on how to register and where an informational meeting will be held should contact Carter at caseygetshermail@gmail.com.
