A second “Our Town: Falls Church” video has been delivered to Falls Church Cable TV. This 30-minute program features interviews with Revenue Director Tom Clinton and Vice Mayor Dave Snyder. Both are seeking reelection this November.
Author Mark Rhoads discusses his new book and his affection for Falls Church. Restaurant reviewer Daria Finley finds another favorite restaurant, Viet Royale in the Eden Center, and Hostess Kristine Cornils learns that a favorite Falls Church shoe repair shop is much more than that from Steve Doudaklian, proprietor of Bedo’s Leatherworks on Broad Street.
The program concludes at the Tinner Hill Monument, dedicated to the first rural branch of the NAACP, founded in 1915 here in Falls Church.
The first video is also available on YouTube. It features longtime Falls Church volunteer Roger Neighborgall, Daria Finley having three desserts at the Italian Café, City Treasurer Cathy Kaye explaining her belief that she is not so much a tax collector as a neighbor and public servant, and the Falls Church Farmers’ Market.
A third video will soon be available.
The “Our Town: Falls Church” videos are shown on Falls Church Cable TV each Saturday and Sunday at noon.
The videos on available on Cox Cable Channel 12, RCN Cable Channel 2, and Verizon Cable Channel 35.
