Jody’s Jam of the Week: Ballston BRGR Battle

Another weekend and another chance to fill your face with ground beef when five D.C.-area burger slingers square off in a battle in Arlington.

Big Buns Gourmet Grill, Black & Orange, the Georgetown University Grilling Society, Rustico and Willow Restaurant will go toe-to-greasy-toe this Saturday in the Ballston BRGR Battle. Each participant will hook up a 3.5 ounce slider with a max of four toppings, with the winner decided by Battle attendees. Alongside the burgers, New Belgium will supply refreshments with $3.50 drafts and is also bringing their Tour de Fat trailer complete with a slew of outdoor games. While knocking back the meat and booze, tunes from the all-90s band White Ford Bronco will provide the backdrop for the afternoon’s festivities.
