Celeb Softball Game Brings in $5,000 for Mason Field Lights

Last Saturday’s celebrity softball game, hosted by the George Mason Athletics Boosters, raised $5,000 to help in the effort to pay for the lights on the baseball and softball fields.

A team of Mason student softball and baseball athletes took on some local celebrities, including Mason’s Principal Ty Byrd, Falls Church City Public Schools Superintendent Toni Jones, Mason softball and baseball coaches and alumni, and Falls Church Recreation and Parks Director Danny Schlitt.
