Jody’s Jam of the Week: Mad Fox Brewing Company’s 1st Annual Spring Bock Festival

While I’m certainly enthused that warmer weather has finally decided to pay us a visit, I think I may be more excited for what’s going on in Market Square out front of Mad Fox this weekend. The Falls Church brew pub, taking full advantage of the season, is hosting their 1st Annual Spring Bock Festival on Saturday.

From 11 a.m. to 6 p.m., Mad Fox’s brew team will serve a lineup featuring more than a dozen bocks (that’s a lager of German origins), including their Elixir Maibock which took home a silver medal at the Great American Beer Festival. Mad Fox Chef Andrew Dixon has hooked up a special menu for the occasion with German sausages, frankfurters, giant pretzels with bock cheese mustard dip and more.

The event is free to the public though tickets ($1.50 each) will be required for booze and food.
