F.C. Arts Invites Entries to ‘Eco’ Show This Month

Falls Church Arts is currently exhibiting the final week of its Printmaking show at ArtSpace Falls Church, and will be accepting entries through Friday for its upcoming Eco-Art show.

Olivier Giron, an eco-artist with an MFA from George Mason University, will be the juror for this show. Several environmental artists as well as traditional artists are entering this show which promises to be an interesting mélange of environmental and visual representations of the four Rs: recycle, reuse, repair and reduce.

Eco-Art takes on many forms and can range from lamps made from “rescued roadside treasures,” sculptures from natural or recycled materials, collages, and creative use of trash with treasure.

The show will open Feb. 28 with a meet the artist reception on March 7 at 7 p.m. at ArtSpace Falls Church, 410 S. Maple Ave.

The email deadline to enter the Eco-Art show is 9 p.m. on Friday. For more information, call Falls Church Arts at 703-679-7881 or email info@fallschurcharts.org.
