Baroukh Denies Apology to School Board Chair

Falls Church Mayor Nader Baroukh emphatically denied that he apologized for language of a recent City memo to the School Board, as School Board chair Susan Kearney said happened last week, as reported in the News-Press. “There is no apology asked for and no apology given,” Baroukh said in the closing moments of a two-and-a-half hour marathon Council work session Monday. He said he was unsure if the News-Press story constituted “editorializing” by the News-Press or was an accurate report, as was the case, of what Kearney said.
