Vehicle Decal Enforcement Begins Thursday

City of Falls Church City 2013 Decals (red) must be displayed in all vehicles that reside within City limits beginning today, Thursday, Nov. 15, and City Police will begin ticketing violators, it has been announced. Bills containing the 2013 decal were mailed in early September.

Those who did not receive a decal should contact the Treasurer’s Office, 703-248-5016. Decals show the year, make and model of the registered vehicle. A decal is required for all trucks, automobiles, and motorcycles normally garaged within the City. Decals must be purchased within 60 days by new residents or residents with a newly acquired vehicle. The renewal deadline for the decal is Oct. 5. Decals can be purchased at the Treasurer’s Office. The fee is $33 a year for most vehicles. Separate fee schedules apply to trucks, motorcycles, taxicabs, and buses.
