Sheriff’s Office to Hold Free Firearm Home Safety Course

The Falls Church Sheriff’s Office is offering a free firearm home safety course to residents on Nov. 28 from 7 – 9 p.m. in City Hall, 300 Park Ave., Falls Church.

The non-shooting course will teach students the basic knowledge, skills, and attitude necessary for the safe handling and storage of firearms and ammunition in the home. The course will increase safety and awareness, educate the public on related laws, and assist those considering firearms for personal and home defense. No firearms or live ammunition are permitted in the course.

Those interested in attending are asked to contact the Sheriff’s Office at 703-248-5111 before Nov. 20 to reserve a seat.
