Woman Dies in McLean Car Crash

Fairfax County police responded to a crash on Lewinsville Road this afternoon. Witnesses observed a 2011 Toyota Sienna heading eastbound on Lewinsville Road when the driver apparently lost control just prior to Swinks Mill Road. The Toyota struck a tree and rolled back onto the roadway, where it caught fire. An adult female was found deceased inside the charred vehicle.

Identification of the deceased will await the medical examiner’s report. It is unknown if speed, alcohol or a medical condition were factors in the crash. Investigation continues.
