Joan Wodiska, president of the Virginia School Boards Association (VSBA), former chairm and current member of the Falls Church City School Board, and chair of the Governor’s Task Force on Local Mandates, Education Committee is a finalist for and will present the first-ever Bammy Award for School Board Leadership. Billed as the Oscars for Education the Bammy Awards are presented by the Academy of Education Arts and Sciences and sponsored by the BAM Radio Network. The inaugural event will take place on September 15, 2012 at the Arena Stage in Washington, D.C.
