Bulldogs Blank ‘Stangs, 27-0

The George Mason High School football team lost to Luray High School at last Friday’s away game, 27-0, bringing the Mustang season record to 0-2.

“Last week we came out flat to start the game,” Head Coach Tony Green said, adding that turnovers troubled the Mustang team. The Bulldogs capitalized on three of Mason’s four turnovers to score.

“We took the loss hard,” Green said. “The team knows they can play better.”

This Friday, Mason will travel to Warren County High School. Green said that the Mustangs “will have our hands full” with the Wildcats’ strong run-based offense, but said he is confident his team can be competitive.
