It’s been a few years since Mike’s Deli was added to Lazy Sundae, a long-serving Falls Church ice cream shop, and its food is slowly earning a name in the City by word of sandwich-stuffed mouths.

It’s the quality ingredients that Mike’s Deli packs between slices of bread that makes this restaurant a hot spot for sandwiches.

“Our ingredients that we slice every day, and chop every day, are all fresh, all good products,” co-owner David Tax said. “We don’t skimp on any of the products.”

Popular among their sandwiches is the Reuben, made with corned beef cooked in-house. Though $7, the Reuben is one of the more expensive sandwiches Mike’s Deli offers; simpler fare like grilled cheese only sets diners back a few bucks.

While this full-service deli sells no shortage of meat-packed subs, many vegetarian options and veggie-packed creations ensure all sandwich eaters leave satisfied.
