Old Firehouse to Celebrate 22nd Year with Block Party

Now in its third year, the Old Firehouse Teen Center’s annual block party will be held from 4 – 10 p.m. on Aug. 25. Celebrating the teen center’s 22nd anniversary, the event is open to the general public and current and former OFTC members. Activities will be located along Redmond Drive, in front of the OFTC, which is located at 1440 Chain Bridge Road, McLean.

The second annual “McLean Teens Got Talent” contest will be held at the event. Students enrolled in grades 7 – 12 living in Fairfax County are eligible to participate in the competition. Live music will be provided by headlining band E3. Other scheduled activities include a dunk tank, the amusement ride “The Wrecking Ball,” airbrush tattoos, free concessions, a moon bounce and surf bounce, as well as spin art T-shirts. An Old Firehouse history exhibit, curated by retired Fairfax County firefighters, will be on display inside the building.
