Mason Earns American Prize Nods for ‘Les Mis’

The American Prize has recognized George Mason High School’s music program in two categories this year in its national annual competition recognizing the best recorded performances of music by ensembles and individuals.

In the high school division, George Mason High School is a finalist for The American Prize in Musical Theater Performance 2012 and Mary Jo West is a finalist for The American Prize in Conducting — Musical Theater Division 2012 for Mason’s fall 2011 musical production of “Les Miserables.”

The American Prize is a series of non-profit competitions administered by Hat City Music Theater of Danbury, Conn.
