Local Plein Air Painters to be Honored at F.C. Arts Reception

All are welcome to attend a free reception Saturday for the third annual Falls Church Arts Plein Air Festival. The event begins at 11 a.m., with an awards ceremony to honor winning entries at noon.

The annual Don Beyer Volvo – KIA Plein Air Prize of $500 will be awarded by June and Mike Beyer; the Tori McKinney, Rock Star Realtor, Plein Air Prize of $250 will be presented by Tori McKinney; and the President’s Prize of $250 will be presented by Falls Church Arts President Barb Cram.

Artist Meg Walsh is the judge of this year’s festival. Walsh is a painting teacher and member of the Washington Society of Plein Air Painters and Mid-Atlantic Plein Air Painters, among others, and a winner of several awards and honors.

The reception and awards ceremony will take place at ArtSpace Falls Church, 410 S. Maple Ave. For more information, visit fallschurcharts.org.
