City of Falls Church, VA Crime Report for June 12 – 18, 2012

NOTE: This report is not a definitive list of all criminal activity and is subject to change upon investigation.

Public Drunkenness, 100-A E. Fairfax St. On June 12, a male, 37, of Fairfax, was arrested for Public Drunkenness.

Public Drunkenness, 100 block Park Ave. On June 12, a male, 48, of Falls Church was arrested for Public Drunkenness.

Underage Possession of Alcohol, 220 N. Washington St. (State Theater) On June 12, a 17 year-old male was arrested and released on summons for Underage Possession of Alcohol. Custody of the juvenile was transferred to a family member.

Robbery, 100 block W. Broad St. (CVS Parking Lot) On June 12 at 9 p.m., the victim reported a black male approximately 5’8″ tall and medium build demanded money and then assaulted the victim. The victim was transported to the hospital for treatment and later released.

Trespassing, W & OD Trail near Little Falls St. On June 14, a male, 18, of the City of Falls Church, and a 17 year-old female, of the City of Falls Church, were arrested and released on summonses for Trespassing.

Driving Under the Influence, 500 block S. West St. On June 14, an officer conducted a traffic stop for a motor vehicle violation. The driver, a male, 24, of Vienna, was arrested for Driving Under the Influence.

Drinking In Public, 300 block W. Broad St. On June 14, a male, 40, no fixed address; and Carlos Escalante, 30, no fixed address, were arrested and released on summons for Drinking In Public.

Larceny from Building, 444-M W. Broad St. (For Eyes Optical) On June 14, the business reported three pairs of sunglass frames stolen.

Driving Under the Influence, 6700 block Wilson Blvd. On June 15, an officer conducted a traffic stop for a motor vehicle violation. The driver, a male, 28, of Annandale, was arrested for Driving Under the Influence.

Underage Possession of Alcohol, 1100 W. Broad St. (Sunoco Gas) On June 15, an officer observed a minor purchasing alcohol in the store using a discarded false ID. A male, 18, of McLean, was arrested and released on summons for Underage Possession of Alcohol.

Narcotics Violation and False ID to Law Enforcement, Unit block Hillwood Ave. On June 15, an officer conducted a traffic stop for a motor vehicle violation. The driver, a male, 22, of the City of Falls Church, was arrested and released on summons for Possession of Marijuana. The passenger, a male, 29, of the City of Falls Church, was arrested for Providing False Identification to Law Enforcement.

Driving Under the Influence and Refusal To Submit to a Blood or Breath Test, 400 block E. Broad St. On June 16, an officer conducted a traffic stop for a motor vehicle violation. The driver, a male, 24, of Springfield, was arrested for Driving Under the Influence and for Refusing to Submit to a Blood or Breath Test.

False ID to Law Enforcement, 100 block Great Falls St. On June 16, an officer conducted a traffic stop for a motor vehicle violation. The driver provided false identification information to elude other license violation charges. A female, 24, of Falls Church, was later arrested for Providing False Identification to Law Enforcement.

Obstruction of Justice and Public Drunkenness, 6793 Wilson Blvd. #R3 (V3 Club) On June 17, a male, 41, of Frederick, MD, was arrested for Public Drunkenness. While in transit to Arlington County Jail, he made threats against the officer. The suspect was also charged with Obstruction of Justice by Threats of Force.

False ID to Law Enforcement, Underage Possession of Alcohol, 500 block Lynn Pl (Roberts Park) On June 17, officers responded to the area for suspicious activity during closed hours in the park. Officers found several subjects in the park. One of the subjects provided false identification information and was in possession of alcohol. A male, 18, of the City of Falls Church, was arrested and released on summonses for False ID to Law Enforcement, and Underage Possession of Alcohol.
