A panel on the progression of the lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender community will be held in conjunction with the D.C. Pride Festival next week, hosted by Macy’s at its downtown D.C. store on Thursday, June 7, at 5:30 p.m. Moderating the panel will be Falls Church News-Press owner-editor Nicholas F. Benton, and the panel will include Candace Gingrich-Jones, associate youth director of the Human Rights Campaign, and Kevin Naff, editor of the Washington Blade. The free-to-the-public panel discussion at the Level 2 Men’s Department of Macy’s Metro Center, 12th and G Streets NW, will be followed by a mix-and-mingle over refreshments courtesy of Nellie’s Sports Bar.
