Fairfax Deputies Receive Valor Awards

Two Fairfax sheriff’s deputies were among those recognized yesterday at the 34th Annual Fairfax County Chamber of Commerce Valor Awards ceremony held at the Hilton McLean Tysons Corner. ABC/WLJA Anchor Leon Harris was the emcee.

He read the dramatic accounts of bravery and stories of the lives that were saved by the members of the various public safety agencies. Privates First Class Naftali Jacob received the Bronze Medal of Valor. Master Deputy Sheriff Kathleen Holohan received the Certificate of Valor. Also recognized at the event were members of the Fairfax County Police Department, Fairfax County Fire and Rescue Department and the Town of Vienna Police Department. Nearly 700 people attended the ceremony.
