‘Passport’ Series Launches With Africa Presentations

From Jan. 14 – March 4, Creative Cauldron will present “Passport to the World,” a multicultural performance series at ArtSpace Falls Church featuring music, dance and theater troupes representing regions around the globe.

The eight-week series will begin with cultural offerings from North and West Africa this week.

On Saturday, Jan. 14, at 7:30 p.m., Kamel Zennia will perform. Algerian-born Zennia plays music inspired by the cultures of North Africa, from the coastal regions of the Mediterranean and the Atlantic, to the towns in the deepest reaches of the Sahara.

Tickets for the performance are $15 for adults and $12 for students and seniors.

West African storyteller Auntie (Vera) Oye will introduce families to West African culture and food on Sunday, Jan. 15, at 2 p.m.Tickets for the presentation are $10.
