Body Dynamics OK’d for Move To F.C., Landlord Boosts Art Space

By a unanimous vote tonight, the Falls Church City Council welcomed the Body Dynamics wellness business to Falls Church by offering a special exception for permitted uses at the Pearson Square mixed use project on S. Maple St.

The “progressive, exciting business,” as described by Vice Mayor David Snyder, will also bring added revenue and vibrance to the area, Snyder and Erik Pelton, speaking for the F.C. Chamber of Commerce, noted.

As part of being granted the special exception, sought by the site’s owner, Pearlmark Real Estate Partners, Pearlmark offered the City some improvements for its tenant, the ArtSpace Falls Church and Creative Cauldron, by providing some better parking designations and noise control, plus a guaranteed $5,000 annual contribution to Creative Cauldron for five years.

Body Dynamics, Inc., was founded in 1995 by Dr. Jennifer M. Gamboa, a board certified orthopaedic physical therapist and performing arts specialist. A nationally-recognized expert in performing arts medicine and medically-oriented fitness and wellness initiatives, Dr. Gamboa is passionate about advancing her vision of multi-disciplinary healthcare that meets clients where they are, providing them with the knowledge, skills and support they need to attain and maintain as independent and healthy a lifestyle as possible.

Starting in a 9 by 12 foot costume room of a regional ballet troupe 15 years ago, her business has grown to a multi-million dollar operation with more than 25 clinical providers and it anticipates exceeding $3 million in annual revenue within the next five years.
