Watch Night on New Year’s Eve Draws Most to F.C. Yet

With moderate temperatures hovering around 50 degrees at midnight, it was a record attendance at last Saturday night’s New Year’s Eve “Watch Night” fete in downtown Falls Church.

Restaurant and church venues were packed, and of course, as the historic Falls Church lighted star descended in the countdown to midnight, and the New Year, the crowd that amassed on Broad Street was enormous. (Photos: Gary Mester)
