F.C. Chamber of Commerce Organizes ‘Eat at Eden Center’ Night Sept. 27

In the spirit of improving relations between businesses at the predominantly Vietnamese-American Eden Center and the rest of the City of Falls Church — especially in the context of the frayed relations resulting from the Northern Virginia Gang Task Force raid at the center Aug. 11 — the Falls Church Chamber of Commerce announced today that it is organizing an “Evening of Dining at the Eden Center” for Tuesday, Sept. 27, when members of the Chamber are urged to dine at the Viet Taste restaurant in the Eden Center, a Chamber member.

Because of the loss of revenues to business at the Eden Center in the wake of the raid, which led to 20 citations on allegations of illegal gambling activity, Sally Cole, executive director of the F.C. Chamber, said, “By patronizing the (Eden Center) businesses on the 27th we will be showing our support and helping them make it through this difficult economic time.”
