The competition in this year’s Best of Falls Church poll was hot, but not as hot as the studios at Dancing Mind Yoga, this year’s pick for best yoga studio.

At Dancing Mind, yoga studios are kept at a sweltering 94 degrees in keeping with the Baptiste Power Vinyasa style of yoga. While Owner Paula Baake admits that the studio practices a highly athletic style of yoga, all types of yoga lovers – from teens to seniors, of all different abilities – come together to challenge their bodies and minds.

“We have an incredible community,” Baake said, praising the energy generated by those who come to her studios. “It’s a very inspiring community of people of all shapes, sizes and forms. The focus is on personal transformation, what you can create for yourself.”

Membership costs $99 a month, but newcomers can try out the studios for a month for $50 and take part in any of the 35 daily classes held each week from 6 a.m. – 7:45 p.m.
