Readers have spoken, and have told the News-Press that when they want that delicious lunchtime meal between two pieces of bread – the almighty sandwich – their best bet is to stop by Kasha’s Kitchen at Kennedy’s Natural Foods.

Holly Kopecky, general manager at Kennedy’s Natural Foods, said that her attentive staff members try to cater to the many dietary needs of their customers, custom-building vegan, vegetarian and gluten-free sandwiches. A new line of raw-food sandwiches is even in the works at this natural foods shop.

There’s even something to love for the meat-eaters, as well, in that the meats that go into these sandwiches come from free-range, grass-fed animals.

“It’s real meat and real food,” Kopecky said.

And from workers taking a lunch-time break to enjoy a turkey sandwich inside the restaurant, to hikers taking a lentil burger to go before hitting the W&OD trail, Kennedy’s has something tasty and healthy for a sandwich fix.
