F.C. Hazardous Waste Collection July 23

Household hazardous waste will be accepted free of charge from City of Falls Church residents on Saturday, July 23, City officials announced yesterday.

The household waste collection event will be held from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the City’s Recycling Center and Property Yard at 217 Gordon Road. City residents may drop off items including acids, anti-freeze, bug sprays, button batteries, rechargeable batteries, gasoline, compact or tube fluorescent bulks, floor care products, mercury products, motor oil, oil-based paint and stain, oven cleaner, paint thinner, pesticides, poisons, pool chemicals, rug cleaners, solvent-based glue. Proof of City residency will be required.
