They learned about Sweden, Swedish Scouting, World Jamborees and knot tying during the three-hour event. After sampling Swedish drinks and cookies, several Scouts and leaders hiked to Roosevelt Island to learn about Swedish flora and fauna. The International Scouting Day was organized jointly by the International Committee of the National Capital Area Council and the Embassy of Sweden. It offered a glimpse into the 22nd World Scout Jamboree, which will be in Rinkaby, Sweden in July and August this summer.
