FCNP-Diener Food Drive Starts Monday

Monday’s Memorial Day Parade and Festival in Falls Church will again mark the launch of the annual Falls Church News-Press/Diener and Associates food drive to support the efforts of the Food for Others food bank and distribution service in Northern Virginia.

With plastic grocery bags inserted into home-delivered editions of this week’s News-Press, residents are urged to fill the bags, or their own bags, with canned and other non-perishable foods and bring them to the News-Press booth on Memorial Day. After Memorial Day, there will be collection boxes posted at the following Falls Church locations: (1) Diener & Associates, CPAs, 125 Rowell Court, (2) F.C. News-Press, 200 Little Falls, Suite 508 (note new address), (3) F.C. Community Center, 223 Little Falls St., (4) Unity Club, 120 W. Broad St., (5) Anthony’s Restaurant, 309 W. Broad St., (6) Don Beyer Volvo, 1201 W. Broad St. through July 4. Food for Others provides meals for the needy at 14 locations throughout Northern Virginia every day.
