F.C. Man Elected Toastmaster Division Governor

Toastmasters in Northern Virginia took final steps to establish a new district, District 29, and elected their first officers. Edmond Joe was elected Division D Governor by District 29 Toastmasters at a conference at the Sheraton National in Arlington. He will be responsible for oversight of about 30 Toastmasters Clubs organized into six areas in Fairfax and Loudon County.  He will promote membership growth, club growth and educational achievement by members. His term of office commences on July 1 and lasts one year. A resident of Falls Church, Joe is employed by Truestone and is a member of the Reston Herndon Toastmasters Club. He has been a member of Toastmasters since 2002, has held several offices in his club and been an Area Governor currently and from 2006-2007. In 2009, Joe was District 27’s Humorous Speech Champion.Toastmasters International is an organization for public speaking and leadership development.
