Burial Mass for Leonard Michalowski Today

A Mass of Christian Burial were be offered at the St. James Catholic Church, 103 N. Spring St. in Falls Church, today (May 12) at 10:30 a.m. for Leonard S. Michalowski, 82, a long-time Falls Church resident and activist on behalf of veterans and seniors issues. Michalowski died suddenly while in the front yard of his N. West Street home on May 4. Following today’s Mass, interment will occur at the Quantico National Cemetery for the World War II veteran. He was the husband of Josephine C. Michalowski, father of Leonard J. Michalowski and wife Debby, grandfather of Julius Michalowski and wife Carey, he was the brother of Helen Polguy, Frances Polhemus and husband Harry, and Raymond Michalowski and wife Anne. In lieu of flowers, it is encouraged that memorial contributions be made in his name to Catholic Charities USA, P.O. Box 17066, Baltimore, MD 21297-1066, or as contributions in his name at today’s Mass.
