F.C. to Host Civil War Day at Cherry Hill Park

The City of Falls Church will host Civil War Day – a living-history event depicting the Falls Church homefront during the Civil War – on Saturday, May 21. This free event will be held from 10 a.m. – 3 p.m. at Cherry Hill Park and Farmhouse, 312 Park Ave., Falls Church.

Participants can experience a living history event with Civil War soldier and civilian reenactments. The day will feature soldier firing and drilling exercises, a Civil War medical tent, a telegrapher, tours of the Civil War farmhouse, a children’s tent with activities, live music, spy stories and readings. Box lunches will be available for $8. Advanced lunch tickets will be sold for $7 at the Community Center located at 223 Little Falls St., if purchased by May 20.
