75 Participate in Naturalization Event Friday

Seventy-five candidates will take the Oath of Allegiance during a special naturalization ceremony Friday at the Fairfax County Government Center as part of the county’s Asian-Pacific American Heritage Month celebrations.

Sharon Bulova, chairman of the Fairfax County Board of Supervisors, will present Certificates of Naturalization to the new Americans. County Supervisor Catherine Hudgins will lead them in the Pledge of Allegiance. The naturalization candidates originate from the following 32 countries: Afghanistan, Australia, Azerbaijan, Bangladesh, Bolivia, Bulgaria, Canada, Chile, China, Colombia, Dominican Republic, Egypt, El Salvador, Ethiopia, France, Germany, Ghana, Guatemala, India, Iran, Jamaica, South Korea, Laos, Liberia, Morocco, Nicaragua, Pakistan, Peru, Philippines, Taiwan, United Kingdom and Vietnam.
