Paul Connet, a George C. Marshall High School graduate of 2009, has spent this spring semester working in the Virginia House of Delegates to help citizens of the Commonwealth. As an intern in Delegate Steve Landes’ office, Connet has helped track and move bills through the legislative process.
Paul Connet, a George C. Marshall High School graduate of 2009, has spent this spring semester working in the Virginia House of Delegates to help citizens of the Commonwealth. As an intern in Delegate Steve Landes’ office, Connet has helped track and move bills through the legislative process.
Connet was selected to work for Landes as a participant in the Virginia Capital Semester Program. The semester-length program is an in-depth experience that in addition to the internship, includes a seminar to meet with a variety of elected officials and Virginia leaders as well as to participate in a series of events that promote leadership and understanding of state government.
While at Marshall, Connet spent his junior year summer with the Republican Main Street Partnership and while finishing his senior year, Connet worked full-time in U.S. Representative Dennis Moore’s (D) KS-3 Capitol Hill office. This past summer, Connet was chosen to serve in the White House. Connet is a sophomore in the Honors College at the Virginia Commonwealth University.
