purimFalls Church-based Junior Girl Scout Troop 6730 spent an afternoon with the residents at Chesterbrook Residences assisted living facility on March 21. The scout troop, which is made up of 9- and 10-year-old girls and meets at Temple Rodef Shalom, has made this service project an annual event to celebrate the holiday of Purim with the residents of Chesterbrook. The girls performed a skit, paired up with the residents to play Purim Bingo, and distributed holiday baskets to all of the residents in attendance. The girls also constructed the bingo prizes, including spice racks and trivets. The Girl Scouts then headed over to Temple Rodef Shalom to distribute Purim baskets made of recycled Girl Scout cookie boxes to the clergy and staff. (Photo: Courtesy Josephine Aiello LeBeau)
