Falls Church Optician, Claude R. Clark, Dies

Claude R. Clark, Jr., of Arlington, died on March 10, 2011. He was a local optician and owner of Franklin Opticians in Falls Church.

Clark was born in Elkins, WVa., eldest son of the late Virginia L. (Wilt) Duggar and Claude R. Clark, Sr. He was buried at Quantico National Cemetery on March 16, 2011.

Clark is predeceased by his sister Carolyn (Clark) Puglisi. He is survived by his wife MaryAnn (Audley); son Robert (Jane) and their daughters Joy and Hope of Seabeck, WA and son Kevin of Falls Church.

Clark is also survived by his brother Robert (Jeanne) Fisher of Gainesville, Va., their sons B.David (Cindy) and Mark; grandchildren Evan and Kara; his sister Virginia Johnson of Bristow, and her sons Arthur (Teresa), Michael, and David; her grandchildren Josh and Alexandria; his brother William of Kill Devil Hills, NC.
Also survived by his in-laws Robert (Carol) Audley, Doreen (Jim) George, Noel (Richard) Saunders. Clark is also survived by his nephews Jason (Angie) Audley, James Audley; Robert (Sherry) George, David (Kristen) George, Chris (Nicole) George; Wesley Saunders.

A memorial mass in celebration of his life will be held on Monday, March 28, at noon at St. Agnes Catholic Church, 1914 North Randolph Street in Arlington. A reception, following the service, will be in the Parish Center. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to SOME (So Others May Eat) 71 O Street NW, Washington, DC 20001.
