Deadline Nears for Rental Assistance Program

The City of Falls Church Housing and Human Services Division is accepting applications for its Tenant-Based Rental Assistance Program now through March 18.

The City of Falls Church Housing and Human Services Division is accepting applications for its Tenant-Based Rental Assistance Program now through March 18.

The program provides temporary assistance to eligible households renting in the City. Rental assistance is awarded for 12 months but may be extended to 18 months, depending on funding availability.

Applications will only be available and accepted at the Housing and Human Services Division until noon on Friday, March 18. Located on the G level of City Hall, 300 Park Ave. Falls Church, the Housing and Human Services Division Office hours are Monday through Friday from 8 a.m. -5 p.m.

Households must meet the income limits and cannot have more than $40,000 in total liquid assets to participate in the program. Income limits are based on family size at 60 percent of the Area Median Family Income. The program funds are limited and eligible applicants will be ranked based on selection criteria and the order received. Priority is given to households that meet selection criteria.
