F.C. Company Creates Phone App to Translate Kid’s Online Lingo

Falls Church-based Crabtree + Company has created a new phone app to help parents understand what their children are saying online.

“LRN the Lingo” is a dictionary that parents and people who work with kids can use to decipher the slang and emoticons to better understand what kids are saying to each other. For example, a smiley face with a pound sign for a nose means drunk and PBS is teen jargon for “Parent Behind Shoulder.”

LRN the Lingo is available for iPhones and retails for 99 cents. For more information visit www.crabtreecompany.com.
